The Board of Directors of Victoria Crime Stoppers, Inc. wishes to extend our most sincere thanks to the entire community for making our 2008 Fundraiser a success.  Our advertising efforts were thwarted by Hurricane Ike and everyone was rightfully concerned about our friends and neighbors who may have been devastated farther north along the gulf coast. Despite this, the community came together on September 18 and helped our program grow and improve.  We hosted a night with Murphy’s In-Laws from Austin opening for Hal Ketchum that included great food from Siesta and a live auction you had to see to believe. 

While it would be impossible to name everyone who made the program a success, a special word of thanks goes out to our local media (radio, TV, newspapers and billboards), auctioneer Joe Adams, as well as Yolanda Ritchie and the MHS criminal justice program.  We would also like to thank our many generous sponsors and everyone who donated items for our auction.

Thanks to the success of this event our local Crime Stoppers program will be able to grow and improve on an already impressive record of helping local law enforcement solve crimes and capture criminals.  We all had a good time and hope to see even more of the community come out in support of our program next year when we celebrate our program’s 25^th Anniversary!
