CRIME OF THE WEEK

January 5, 2009

Victoria Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the people responsible for a rash of criminal mischief on the night of December 6th.  Police Department investigation shows that the morning of December 7 several residents woke to find their property had been damaged.  There were more than 10 instances where one or more offenders had used BB or pellet guns and clubs to damage vehicles all over town the previous night.

The criminals seemed to target glass windows and mirrors.  Each victim’s losses were in the hundreds to thousands of dollars.  This may have seemed like a prank to the offenders, but to law enforcement and the victims it was a serious crime.

If you know anything about these or any crimes you can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously 24 hours/day through our tip line at 572-4200 or through our website: victoria.crimestoppersweb.com.  If your information leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment you can earn a cash reward up to $1,000.

CRIME OF THE WEEK

December 29, 2008

Victoria Crime Stoppers and the Victoria Police Department are seeking information about the person who robbed a local store on Tuesday, December 23rd.  Police investigation shows that at approximately 7:00am on that date, the man shown in these photos robbed a store on Mockingbird striking the clerk repeatedly with what appears to be a revolver style handgun.

He approached the cash register and demanded that the clerk open the cash drawer.  When the clerk was unable to, the criminal fled with scratch off lottery tickets.  The offender is a male who was wearing a skull mask and a black and gray hoodie that said “World Tour” on the back with an unidentified round logo on the chest.  The offender arrived and left in a small dark colored pick up that appears to have been driven by a separate male suspect.

If you know who this man is, or know anything about this crime you can anonymously call the 24 hour Victoria Crime Stoppers tip line at 572-4200 or contact us on the web at victoria.crimestoppersweb.com.  If your information leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment you can earn a cash reward up to $1,000.

CRIME OF THE WEEK

December 22, 2008

Victoria Crime Stoppers and the Victoria Police Department are seeking information about a series of related office burglaries in December.  On December 5 a burglary was reported at an office building in the 3200 block of Sam Houston.  On December 10 a very similar crime was reported at an office in the 800 block of Mockingbird.  In both cases, the offender entered the buildings by breaking out glass windows.

Other evidence at the scenes indicates that both offenses were committed by the same offenders.  In both cases it appears there were multiple offenders due to the amount of property taken. The offenders targeted office equipment and supplies, especially electronics.  In each case the victims estimate their losses to be several thousand dollars.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously 24 hours per day at the tip line: 572-4200 or on our website: victoria.crimestoppersweb.com.  If your information leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment you can earn a cash reward up to $1,000.
